Contemporary Artist Ozlem Sorlu Thompson
In my latest series, ‘Alice in Wonderland’ I wanted to create magical landscapes with a focus on mystery, alternative realities and especially vibrant and exotic imaginary flowers.
I wish to transport the viewer to dreamy scenes where they can explore their perceptions. I try to create different realities with my paintings, so that through the experience of colour and composition they can feel joy and peacefulness, beyond daily life.
Strong colours help the viewer feel different emotions, while organic shapes and energetic objects and scenes can connect us to real and imagined nature. ~ @ozlemsorluthompson
