Decorative Ceramic Face Planter Pots, Pottery designs

My name is Sônia Vasseur. I am Brazilian and from a very young age, I have always loved art and home decor. I graduate in Fine Arts but my life took other directions and my love for art was placed on a shelf. As far back I remember my life was always filled by some kind of artistic creation. But for and now after I retired and fell in love with ceramic painting largely inspired by Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. From her I borrow the colours to design my pottery and with them joyfully decorating the homes all over my country. But my inspiration goes far beyond and reflects my likes but at many times it sprouts from someone’s desire too. That’s how emerged much of my models. My technique is the cold ceramic painting sometimes with applications of fabrics, laces and other materials. My pottery matches with plants, especially succulents that happens to be my other passion. ~ Sonia Vasseur
