Creative makeup has been a strong passion of mine for an ongoing of 6 years. From beauty makeup to body painting to special effects makeup, I love all forms of makeup and strive to be skilled in multiple ways. My love for makeup sparked roughly in 2009 as a teen. This is when I began obsessing over fantasy and horror movies, like: Pans Labyrinth, Saw, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc. Seeing actors in head-to-toe makeup and costume was exciting to me. Makeup became a tool for me to use to express myself and find my style. In high school, I would wear brightly colored makeup, hand-made accessories, and neon clothes to school. My style then was vibrant and, in your face, so not much has changed.
In 2015, I got serious about makeup and started focusing on beauty makeup and face/body painting. A few years later, I began creating my own props and prosthetics. All the props/prosthetics I use have been created by me. I’m a self-taught makeup artist, never been to a makeup school. Since 2015 I have created over 400+ makeup looks, these can all be found on my Instagram page: caykeface. On my Instagram page, you will find all the different kinds of art that I do: fantasy, gore, abstract and sometimes funny looks. I don’t have a specific style that I stick to, unless being versatile is a style, then that is it.
My future hope with makeup is to become a better makeup artist, grow my social media presence and to inspire many to create with makeup with no limitations. I love doing makeup so much and I am so blessed to have the ability to share it with you. You can find me on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok under: caykeface. I hope to see you there!
