Bee Mellifera Autistic Makeup Artist

My name is Bee Mellifera, and I’m an autistic makeup artist! Makeup is my special interest and has been my greatest passion for as long as I can remember. I am self-taught, and first became interested in makeup around 5 years old, but it didn’t become my full special interest until I was 9! Since then, I’ve loved to create and push myself to try new things with my art.

For me makeup is an outlet, and can help me destress, self regulate, and is generally a great way to lean into my creativity. Makeup is a way to express myself in a way that I sometimes don’t have the words to explain. As an autistic person, I’ve always felt very underrepresented in media. So for me, makeup and my autism related content online, are a way for me to put myself out there in a way that I would struggle doing in person.

Some of my current aspirations are to grow my following and build my community, to inspire and connect with others, as well as to have a safe space to truly be myself.
