Marina Bertollo: A Journey of Fashion Illustration, and Inspiring Creativity
Meet Marina Bertollo
I have always enjoyed drawing since I was a child, which is why I decided to pursue a career in fashion. I have a degree in Fashion Design from Udesc, a specialization in Fashion Product Design from SENAI CETIQT, and a master’s degree in Design from UFSC. In academia, I was a drawing monitor, an extension scholarship holder, and the marketing director of Inventório, a junior design and fashion company. After graduating, I worked as a style assistant at Mardu, a beachwear and fitness brand. I then developed collections, illustrations, and technical drawings for several brands; I began my journey of creating content on Instagram and YouTube; I created my own website and began teaching courses in fashion drawing and illustration, fashion collection development, and technical fashion drawing independently. Currently, in addition to teaching my courses, I work as a fashion professor at the Instituto Federal de Santa Catarina (IFSC); I work as a fashion designer, having recently launched a collection with Shein, through the Shein X program, and I work as an illustrator, having formed successful partnerships with major brands such as Compactor, Copic, Stabilo, Audaces, Shein, Cis, Artools and Editora Olhares.
My passion for drawing has always been with me, but it was after I graduated that I started creating drawing content to inspire and help people. After all, in addition to being a fashion designer and illustrator, I am also a teacher. Seeing people learn rewards me emotionally. And so I want to continue my journey through this beautiful exchange: people inspire me every day with their words of encouragement and I want to inspire them with my drawings. ~ @marina.bertollo
