Nicola: Yorkshire-Based Fashion Illustrator Blending Tradition with Modern Style

Fashion illustrator and designer Nicola, working from her studio in Sowerby Bridge, draws her inspiration from all the latest collections in the everchanging world of fashion. Working mainly with pens/brushes and inks sheproduces mixed media paintings, limited edition prints and cards.

For 15 years she was based as a Fashion Designer at the Manchester Craft and Design Centre, producing and selling her own label. She then took a break from designing to concentrate on heryoung family, living in the Calder Valley. Inspired by the beautiful countryside steeped in history and hardworking genuine Yorkshire folk, she became naturally inclined to start drawing.

Over the past 6 years she has exhibited at the Fashion Illustration Gallery, the Bankfield Museum, worked on many commission and private sales and, just recently, illustrated the book ‘Chanel Style Icon’ by Maggie Davis. ~ nicola_sutcliffe
