Self-taught Makeup Artist Ashley Hainey

My name is Ashley Hainey, I am a self-taught makeup artist from Edinburgh. To me makeup is art, makeup is passion, makeup is expression. I love how I can start with a blank canvas and become whoever I want to be. I love sharing my makeup creations and also spreading positivity. I post my creations on my social media platforms along with positive quotes. I want to spread inspiration/motivation to others showing that if something makes you happy, don’t be afraid to do it. It all started when I was a little girl, I would do all my friends hair and makeup and I would practice different styles and looks on myself. I love how makeup makes me feel all depending what style or colours I used, it can completely change my mood. I could be feeling low and then popping on a bright eyeshadow and some dramatic lashes then boom… I’m feeling bright, bold and beautiful.
