Jelena Buric Unique Paper Quilling Art Designs

My name is Jelena Buric. I live in Kotor, Montenegro. Even as a little girl, I loved to draw and paint and I enjoyed it. But I didn’t take my talent so seriously. I thought the best artists are born, not become. I never really saw myself as being a professional artist at a young age. So I didn’t finish any art school.

Art has always been just a hobby for me.
But over time and after the experience through the various jobs I did before, that creativity manifested itself in one way or another.

And a couple of years ago when I discovered the Quilling technique, I fell in love and started doing some of the first simpler works. Until one moment I surprised myself with some more serious works. I have to admit, though, it’s not a compliment, that I’m a great perfectionist and that I’m still learning that I don’t have to be perfect to do what I enjoy.

The Quilling technique is one unusual art that is done with paper (three-dimensional). All the brushes that I would use before I replaced them with paper. More precisely, I prefer to call it “painting with paper. ~ Jelena Buric
