The Magical Art of Daria Elvy Fox, From Vintage Disney to Fantasy Realms

Although her name is Daria Vorotnikova, she is more well known in the art world as Daria Elvy Fox. Currently residing in Serbia, she works as an illustrator and fantasy artist. Daria enjoys using her art to explore realms from fairy tales and likes to think that each of her creations holds a hint of enchantment.

Her passion for the vivid, energetic colors of vintage Disney cartoons has greatly influenced her sense of design. She has always been inspired by their straightforward yet profoundly significant shapes. Daria draws inspiration for her illustrations from games, fantasy films, fairy tales, mythology, and old legends. However, this does not mean she only draws elves and dragons. Her art is always infused with a touch of magic, whether it’s a mysterious light or a sense of awe.

Her favorite part of the process is working with light. She believes light has the power to transform any illustration into a fantastical scene, reminding us of the secret magical belief we all share and acting as the spark that brings everything to life.
