Self-taught Artist Draw Realistic Portraits With Pencil
I am an entirely self-taught artist and started drawing six years ago. My main focus are portrait drawings or to be more precise: I draw portraits of characters that influenced me in my life. I mainly draw my favourite musicians but I also draw some movie / series characters every now and then. Music, especially metal music, plays a big role in my life and it’s what inspired me to start drawing back in the days. I was trying to overcome a burnout and listened to a lot of music in the process. When I had finally regained some energy, I felt the sudden urge to create something dedicated to those people who helped me through dark and difficult times with their music. As a sort of tribute. So I picked up my pencils and did what I had never done before: I started drawing portraits and I’ve never stopped doing so since then. On the contrary, I started to enjoy drawing portraits and it became one of my main hobbies. I also enjoy visiting concerts and festivals where I can see my favourite artists perform live – and if I’m lucky I even get the chance to talk to them in person and show them the artworks that I’ve dedicated to them which is always a special moment. ~ Miss Escapist Art
