My name is Iness Kaplun, I’m a Russian artist based in Brooklyn, NY. My art is living with me, leaving with me. Changing, transforming and reflecting my personal life and experience for the past 17 years. In the current moment of my life, I find myself under a big influence of American Pop Art. It gives me endless inspiration and a variety of approaches to the art-making. My favorite media is collage. I believe that collage made with different original pieces of newspapers, photos, articles and other materials leaves a bigger impact on the viewers.
