My name is Maikki Hurmerinta, from Finland. I create whimsical animal figurines out of polymer clay, crystals and resin.I have been making my art since 2015 and nowadays being an artist is my full-time job. I love creating quirky and whimsical pieces as my main goal is to bring a little color and happiness to this world. My main inspiration comes from the nature and the animal kingdom.

Although my art is mainly cheerful, I sometimes deal with serious themes as the climate warming and extinction of species to raise awareness.

All my pieces are sculpted by hand out of polymer clay and painted with acrylic paints. I also use stones, glass crystals and handmade resin elements as embellishments in some of my pieces. Some of my favourites themes are the space, galaxies and mythical creatures.
