Artist Cathy Sik Creating Modern Aerospace Art Paintings

Kateryna Sikulska, also known as Cathy Sik, is an aerospace artist from Kharkiv, Ukraine, currently residing in the USA. Being an aviation enthusiast, she likes to combine the technical side of the aerospace industry with creative representation through artworks. As a self-taught artist, Cathy began to explore different techniques and styles and has been painting professionally for two years. Still, as of today, she likes to work with multiple mediums, mainly acrylics and oils, and try various methods, as you can see in her artworks below. In addition, Cathy does not hesitate to paint different themes other than aerospace since it helps her to learn something from every painting to eventually come up with the style that best represents her ideas. Young painter and a student pilot working on her Private Pilot license, Cathy discovered that there are few female aviation and space fine artists. By creating modern aerospace paintings, she is dedicated to changing that. While inspiring others with her artworks, she wants to help attract more women to the aerospace industry and increase their representation. To make this possible, she participates in aviation fundraising auctions and events for non-profit organizations like Women in Aviation, Wings of Hope, and others. In 2022, Cathy took part in her first exhibition in the world’s largest Aviation and Aerospace University and No1 Pilot Training Facility in the USA – Embry Riddle Aviation University, which has become a home to her oil painting “Everything is Possible: Tesla in Space.” ~ @cathy_sik.art

First capital Kharkiv native city in painting by Cathy Sik“First capital: Kharkiv, Ukraine” Oil on Canvas 48″x48.” It is the painting of my native city Kharkiv where I lived for 11 years with my two older sisters. I could not keep up with my emotions during the process and cried a lot. This beautiful and modern city, known as the city of students, has been drastically destroyed daily by Russian troops since the first day of the invasion on February 24, 2022. Therefore, I made this painting always to remember how my native city looked before with the hope of seeing it free and beautiful again.
