Acrylic Palette Knife Paintings by Iain

Iain lives on Scotland’s south-west coast, the beautiful landscape inspiring much of his work as a self-taught artist. He has always loved art but has only recently rediscovered painting as a means of meditation, relaxation and self-expression. He enjoys using colour in unusual ways, to reflect seasonal changes and moods.

Iain is a nature and countryside lover, and this is evident in many of his pieces. He enjoys painting as a way of showing the connections between all living things – humans and landscapes; animals and habitat.

One of his favoured techniques is the use of a palette knife with acrylics to aid the development of texture and depth in his work. In this way, Iain is also able to reflect the ambience of the settings he explores in his art work. ~ Iain Robertson
