Inspiring Illustrator Artworks by Nature, Myths and Various Cultures

I am an artist from Moscow, Russia. I take inspiration for my artworks in such things as nature, myths, and tales of various cultures, the works of old masters.

In my works, elements of modern life are rare but there are a lot of fantastic creatures and plots because I use painting as a form of escapism. I believe that through his drawings artist depicts not only his vision of the world but also his inner world, emotions, and feelings. Each work is very personal for me and through what I draw, I express myself.

I have some experience in computer graphics, but I prefer to use traditional materials such as gouache, watercolor, colored pencils, and ink. I think that these materials make the artwork more alive, give it character. Sometimes it is hard to control the outcome and there is always an element of surprise. Using traditional art materials has its challenges but also gives your works a visual charm, that is hard to achieve in other ways. ~ faux spring
